K Native was founded by Jodi Wilkins in 2015, and became 100% online just before the pandemic. We specialise in offering a unique “Matching” service; finding the right teacher for each student.

Quality over quantity

K Native was a happy accident!

As a teacher in Vaughan Systems, I was passionate about keeping my students motivated. You guys spend so long working hard, easily until 19.00 or 20.00 and then family, homework with the children, cañas with friends. I always wondered how you found the time to attend class and study at home (In some cases 😉).

In 2015, I left Vaughan with fond memories and became autonoma to spend more time with my new daughter, back in 2012. Immediately I was inundated with students wanting to continue with me. So many, that I reached out to colleagues and peers who I knew did a fantastic job with their students, so we could help each other out.

That was the start of a journey that has inspired me to stick to my guns. Quality teachers, relevant content, student-centric – My goal from day 1 has always been to maintain the quality of the teachers we offer. Our interview process looks specifically for teachers who are passionate about what they do, particularly how they can help individual students or groups to reach their objectives. A good teacher knows how to get the most from their students, and adapt each class to keep them interested, practicing, and making tangible progress. We match the best teachers with the right student.

The thing that drives me most is ensuring that each and every client receives the best possible service, open communication, the best teacher for their needs, and motivation to keep learning with us.

We do that by selecting only the best, dedicated teachers, paying them well and creating a friendly, safe and empathetic environment for the students, with a teacher who has shared experience or interests and cares about their progress.

I am proud of the fact that our growth comes from recommendations. We know what our students need and have the right people to help them. I don’t consider us an English Academy… more like a group of like-minded people all working towards the same goal… Helping students really, finally, speak natural English with confidence, whatever their level.
